    Laughter on Canvas

I create expressive abstract landscapes that carry the feeling of open sky into a room.

Inspired by Montana’s vast skies, shifting weather, and the shush of trees, my paintings offer something many of us have too little of: space.

Space to exhale and to remember that responsibility isn’t the only role we’re allowed to play.

My art is laughter on canvas—a little mischief, relief, and the freedom of not having to watch yourself or hold everything together for once.

These paintings are for people who’ve spent years being the reliable one: anticipating what others need, solving problems, and carrying responsibilities no one else sees. The work gives them a different experience. Color moves with abandon. Forms gather like weather and open into horizons. The familiar rules loosen, curiosity takes over, and there’s room to be surprised again.

The paintings don’t ask you to escape your life or even to slow it down.

They invite you to experience it more freely.

Beauty and play are sacred. Both bring us back to the part of ourselves that existed before other people’s expectations took over.

Before becoming a full-time artist, I served in the United States Air Force and spent years working in technology and executive leadership, solving problems and managing complexity. Today, I paint from my studio in northern Montana, where expansive skies and changing weather continually remind me how much becomes possible when there’s room to move.

Collectors often describe my paintings as expansive, with a presence that makes the room feel larger and life feel less contained.

Choose the painting that gives you room to breathe, follow your curiosity, and remember: you get to play now.
