BUFFALO GRASS

I have wanted to make a very high piece, mostly white. Pushing those whites and still making something interesting. But then, we visited the Buffalo Reserve outside of Missoula, MT and I came away with a new appreciation for these massive beasts.  The original drawing/painting of the Buffalo embedded in this mostly oil and cold wax mixed media piece was done with my inks and water colors. I transferred the drawing onto tissue paper and sealed it into the cold wax. 

I think it makes for an unusual and dynamic abstract while paying homage to the very spiritual white buffalo.
